Overview: This grant aims to bridge the gap of classroom equity by providing new teachers with funding ranging from $1,000 – $2,500 to build out comfortable, exciting classrooms that are more conducive to student learning. New teachers (on average) spend $1,000 – $2,000 to design and stock their classrooms. Things teachers are regularly asked to supply for their classrooms (or given a limited supply of) include basic school supplies, inclusive/adaptive materials, technology, books, furniture, mental health resources, and PPE, cleaning, or safety equipment.
